Pendle Witch Camp 2006

I’d like to say thanks to everybody who took time to come and see me talk at the PWC this year.
I had a fantastic time at camp, and it seemed that there were more people around than ever.
Sean O’Laoire did a fantastic pagan puppet show that had all the kids entranced and was such a dude that we’re trying to book him to come to Hebden in the autumn to do some story telling.
The site itself was really great, with amazing views across to Pendle Hill in the West, and Lad Law in the east. There were various tents and marquees for workshops and talks, one of which, the chattox, was the venue for my talk at 3pm on Saturday afternoon.
We were all kept fed and watered by the lovely Weirdigans, who also kept us entertained with their low voltage sound and light system.
The drumming circle was really good, especially when accompanied by chanting around the fire.
Adie the organiser is running another semi-pagan camp called Shamania from Friday 21st July that will feature many of the same people and things, so if you like the sound of it, get yourself down there.
I also got a booking to speak at the Northen Green Gathering which starts on the 17th of August.
looks good Rob. We had a great Winter Magic Festival locally on Saturday, after a lovely and small Winter Solstice ritual at our Place on the Friday – remembering our Origins and Cosmic lineage, and the new beings coming forth in us, and re-generating the world, as Sun makes Her way back here from you guys. At the festival my favourite was a tribal style belly dance troupe, who were awesomely beautiful and powerful. They are putting together a Tribal Trance Fest in Sept/Oct locally

Hi Glenys,
I’m going to mail you later with news of the camp. Suffice to say that my talk on your ‘Pagaian Cosmology’ book went better than expected. Expect an email from a girl called Kate who is doing her PHD on Eco feminism, and who was extemely into the ideas in your book.

P.S. I look forward to hearing from Kate – thanks
Shamania looks great. What amazing events – and so many of them … I suppose it is Summer!
